Go2Travel is a business of Go2Group. The other Go2Group businesses (Go2HR, Go2Talent, Go2Tech and Go2Work) have their own websites and privacy policies.

What we collect

This website itself does not collect personal information, set cookies, or use analytics or tracking tools.

We only receive personal information when you choose to send it to us, for example when you:

  • complete our enquiry form
  • email, phone or WhatsApp us
  • apply for a vacancy at Go2Group

This can include your name, email address, phone number, preferred way of contact, and your trip details: destination, travel dates, number of travellers, budget range and anything else you tell us. If you go ahead with a booking, a supplier may also need traveller details such as passport information. We only ask for these when a booking needs them, and we'll tell you why.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

  • respond to your enquiry and send you trip options
  • arrange the bookings you ask for, with the travel suppliers you choose
  • support you before and during your trip
  • meet our legal obligations

We will not sell your information. We will only send you marketing if you have agreed to receive it, and every marketing message will include a way to opt out.

Who helps us process your information

We use trusted service providers (called operators under POPIA) who process information on our behalf and must keep it secure:

  • Zoho Corporation, which runs our enquiry forms and recruitment system. Information you submit through our forms is stored by Zoho in its data centre.
  • Travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, tour operators and booking platforms), but only the details needed for a booking you have asked us to make. Suppliers outside South Africa process your details under their own terms.
  • Fora Travel, the travel network Go2Travel works with, where needed to make and manage bookings.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website. Like all web hosts, Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and block attacks.

Some of these providers store information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we make sure the information is protected to a standard similar to POPIA, as section 72 of POPIA requires.

Embedded content and cookies

Our enquiry form is embedded from Zoho. Zoho may set its own cookies inside the form to keep it secure and working. See Zoho's privacy policy for details.

Videos on this site only load from YouTube or Vimeo after you press play. Once you do, those services may set their own cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for after our last contact with you, and booking records for as long as tax and consumer law require, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. After that we delete or anonymise them.

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information safe, including encrypted connections, access controls and two-step verification on the accounts that hold your data.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can:

  • ask whether we hold information about you, and request a copy
  • ask us to correct or delete information that is wrong, out of date or no longer needed
  • object to us processing your information, including for direct marketing
  • withdraw your consent at any time

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforegulator.org.za.
